The Aries Full Moon, the strange collective funk, and what your soul may be trying to tell you
For the Full Moon exact at 2:49 am AEST, Sunday 27 September 2026
Has anyone else felt it?
Tired but wired. Emotional without always knowing why. Restless, foggy, tender, overstimulated, impatient — and somehow unable to name exactly what is wrong.
One minute you can feel the next chapter calling you. The next, you want to disappear beneath a blanket and speak to absolutely nobody.
If you have been feeling in a funk, you are not alone.
We are moving toward a powerful Full Moon at 3°37′ Aries, exact here on the Gold Coast at 2:49 am AEST on Sunday 27 September. Many Northern Hemisphere forecasts call this the Harvest Moon. Here in Australia, it arrives just after our spring equinox, so I am meeting it as a Spring Full Moon: a moment of emergence, truth and new life pushing through the soil.
But this is not simple, clean Aries fire. This fire is moving through mist.
Why does everything feel so strange?
The Moon in Aries will sit almost exactly beside Neptune retrograde as it becomes full.
Aries is instinct, desire, courage and the sacred life force that says, I am. Neptune is intuition, dreams, compassion and spiritual sensitivity — but also fog, projection, confusion, porous boundaries and the temptation to escape when reality feels too sharp.
Together, they can feel like:
heightened sensitivity and vivid dreamsdeep intuition mixed with anxious overthinkingtiredness, tears or emotions that seem bigger than the momentcraving clarity but struggling to trust what is realfeeling other people’s moods as though they are your owna powerful desire to begin again without yet seeing the whole path
The feeling is real. The story we attach to it may not be.
That is one of the greatest teachings of this moon: honour what you feel without immediately turning every feeling into a fact, a prophecy or a final decision. Let the emotion move. Let the truth reveal itself gently.
The Full Moon question: “Who am I inside the we?”
Every Full Moon is an opposition. This one places the Aries Moon opposite the Libra Sun.
Libra asks us to consider love, harmony, fairness and partnership. Aries asks us whether we have abandoned ourselves in the process.
Where have you kept the peace but silenced your truth?Where have you waited for permission?Where have you confused being loving with over-giving?Where are you ready to choose yourself without closing your heart?
This is not a moon asking us to become selfish. It is asking us to remember that real connection cannot be built through self-abandonment.
There is a breakthrough hidden inside the wobble
The Libra Sun is also flowing with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, creating a rare and powerful pattern across the air signs. The Aries Moon and Neptune complete the shape like the tail of a kite.
In plain English? The sky is holding both confusion and revelation.
Uranus can bring a sudden insight, a liberating conversation or an idea that arrives like lightning. Pluto exposes what has been living beneath the surface and asks for real transformation — not another pretty bandage over the same old wound.

XVI · The Tower — The Wildfire Tarot
You may not think your way out of this energy. The clarity may arrive while you are walking, crying, creating, resting, dancing, receiving bodywork, sitting beside the ocean or finally saying the honest thing out loud.
The wobble is not necessarily a sign that you are going backwards. Sometimes the old structure shakes because a truer one is trying to emerge.
Why the heaviness is lingering
There are several other layers moving through the sky:
Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all retrograde. So much of the work is internal: reviewing our foundations, dreams, boundaries and relationship with change. Life can feel paused on the outside while entire worlds are rearranging within us.
Venus is in Scorpio and slowing toward retrograde on 3 October. Love, trust, intimacy, money, self-worth and old relationship patterns are already asking to be revisited. What is unresolved may feel louder. What is real will ask for more honesty. What is performative may become harder to maintain.
Mars is finishing its journey through Cancer and squaring Chiron at the final degree of both signs. This can make old wounds around safety, family, belonging, anger and protection feel tender. It may show up as a short fuse, angry tears, defensiveness or pure emotional exhaustion.
Then Mars enters Leo on Monday 28 September AEST, and the energy begins to change. The fire returns. We are invited to create, move, lead, play and be seen again — but with a deeper understanding of what our energy is actually worth.
So if you have been wondering why everyone feels a little strange, this is the heart of it:
We are trying to find clean direction inside Neptune’s fog, while Mars touches an old wound and four outer planets ask us to revise the deeper architecture of our lives.
No wonder the nervous system wants a minute.
The Wildfire Tarot Reading

For this Full Moon, I asked:
What are we moving through? What is being illuminated? What are we ready to release? And what is the medicine?
I used a very special tarot deck that will be available very soon via yours truly.
In this deck, Swords become Winds, Wands become Embers, Cups become Tides and Pentacles become Stones — a beautiful language of mind, spirit, emotion and embodiment.
1. What we are moving through — Six of Winds
The Six of Winds mirrors the traditional Six of Swords: transition, passage and the quiet journey away from a difficult shore.
This card says we are between worlds. We may not have reached the new land yet, but we are no longer where we began. The in-between can feel flat, disorienting or strangely empty because the chaos has softened while the new identity has not fully arrived.
The funk may not mean you are stuck. It may mean you are crossing.
2. What the Full Moon illuminates — Two of Embers
The Two of Embers is the spark of a wider vision. It asks us to lift our eyes from the immediate problem and look toward the horizon.
A choice is becoming visible. A future version of you is asking for participation. You do not need the entire map, but you do need the courage to admit what you want.
The question is no longer, Could I?It is, Am I willing to choose it?
3. What we are releasing — The Empress
The Empress is creation, nurture, beauty, sensuality and abundance. But in the release position, she carries a very specific message:
Stop mothering everything.
Release the belief that love means holding everyone together. Release the pressure to make every person comfortable, rescue every situation, force every seed to bloom or prove your worth through how much of yourself you can give away.
Your softness is sacred. It was never meant to become self-erasure.
4. The medicine — Eight of Tides
The Eight of Tides mirrors the Eight of Cups: the brave choice to leave what is familiar when your soul knows it is no longer enough.
This is not always a dramatic physical ending. Sometimes it is the quiet departure from a pattern: chasing, proving, over-explaining, waiting, performing, numbing or asking the outside world to confirm what your inner knowing has already whispered.
The medicine is emotional honesty. Bless what brought you here — and keep walking toward what is capable of meeting the person you are becoming.
The message of the four cards
You are not lost. You are in passage.
The horizon is appearing, but you cannot reach it while carrying every person, every expectation and every old emotional agreement with you.
This Full Moon asks you to release the role that empties you, honour the truth that has already arrived and take one brave step toward the life that feels alive.
A simple Full Moon ritual: Fire Beneath the Fog
You will need a candle, a bowl of water, your journal and — if it feels supportive — a warm cup of tea or ceremonial cacao.
Place the candle and water beside one another: fire and feeling, instinct and intuition.Put one hand on your heart and one on your lower belly. Take seven slow breaths.Divide a journal page into two columns. On one side write, “What I am feeling.” On the other write, “What I know to be true.” Let both exist without forcing them to be the same.Write down the role, pattern or expectation you are ready to release. Tear the page into small pieces and place them in the water.Hum, sing, play a bowl or tuning fork, or simply sit with the natural sounds around you. Let vibration move what words cannot.Close with the words below.
Full Moon affirmation
I honour my feelings without losing myself inside them.I release what asks me to abandon my truth.I trust the path revealing itself beneath my feet.I am allowed to choose the life that feels alive.
Journal prompts
What do I know beneath the noise?Where am I negotiating myself in order to keep the peace? What am I lovingly outgrowing? What would I choose if I stopped waiting for permission? What could I receive if I no longer had to hold everything together?
A final message for this moon
You are not behind. You are crossing.
Let the fog be a womb, not a verdict. Let your fire become a lantern, not a weapon. You do not need to force the next chapter open; you only need to stop pretending the old one still fits.

VIII · Strength — The Wildfire Tarot
The path will meet you as you become brave enough to walk it.
With love,
Bryony Wildfire
