Of everything I offer, energy healing is the one people ask about most quietly. Massage makes sense to everyone. Sound, you can hear. But energy healing? Most people who message me about it start with "this might be a silly question" — and it never is. So here is the honest, no-mystery answer.
Start with something you already know
You have walked into a room after an argument and felt it, without a word being spoken. You have sat beside someone deeply calm and noticed your own breathing slow down to match. You have had days where nothing hurts and nothing is wrong, and yet you feel heavy, scattered, not quite yourself.
That felt sense of a room, a person, a day — that is the territory energy healing works in. Not something separate from the body, but the part of your experience that a to-do list cannot reach and a stretch cannot release.
What happens in a session
You lie down, fully clothed, warm and supported. There is nothing you need to do and nothing you can do wrong — receiving is the whole job.
I work slowly around the body with a light, still touch, sometimes with my hands resting gently on you, sometimes just above. Some parts of a session feel like almost nothing; others people describe as warmth, tingling, gentle waves, or the strange, lovely sensation of a held breath finally letting itself go. Often I will weave in sound — a crystal bowl, a tuning fork — because sound and stillness work beautifully together.
Most people go somewhere very deep, very quickly. Not asleep, exactly — more like the moment just before sleep, stretched out and made roomy. Time goes soft. An hour feels like ten minutes and a full night's rest at once.
What people notice afterwards
Everyone's experience is their own, and I would never promise you someone else's. What people most often tell me: they feel lighter, clearer, more themselves. Emotions that had been sitting in the throat or the chest for weeks finally move. Sleep comes easier that night. Some people simply feel deeply, unusually rested — and honestly, that is not a consolation prize. For most of us, true rest is the rarest thing on the menu.
The honest bit
I will always be straight with you: energy healing is not a medical treatment, and I will never tell you it treats or cures any condition. If something is worrying you about your health, please see a qualified professional — and then, if you wish, come and rest here too. The two are not in competition. One looks after the condition; this looks after the person carrying it.
You also do not need to believe anything for a session to be worth having. Curiosity is plenty. Come sceptical, stay comfortable, and judge the whole thing by how you feel walking out.
If you are curious
Energy healing is part of almost everything I do at my treatment space in Bilinga — on its own, woven through KaHuna bodywork, or as part of a longer journey session. You can read about all of it on the work page, or simply book a time and arrive curious. The quiet will meet you at the door.
With love,
Bryony 💕
