Massage in Tugun: the beach suburb next door

If you live in Tugun, or you are staying there, and you have typed "massage Tugun" into your phone hoping something lovely is nearby — hello. I am one suburb along the very same street.

My treatment space is at Unit 4, 311 Golden Four Drive in Bilinga, and if you know the southern Gold Coast you will know that Golden Four Drive is Tugun's own main street; it simply keeps rolling south past the surf club until it becomes Bilinga. From Tugun village you are here in a few minutes by car, and on a good morning the nicest way to arrive is on foot — the beach path between Tugun and Bilinga is one of the flattest, saltiest, most head-clearing walks on the coast.

What kind of massage this is

I want to be upfront, because Tugun is lucky enough to have good remedial and physio-style clinics already: what I offer is a different animal. KaHuna massage is long, flowing, rhythmic bodywork from the Hawaiian tradition — warm oil, unhurried strokes that travel the whole length of the body, often woven with energy work and the sound of crystal bowls. It is less "fix this shoulder in thirty minutes" and more "give the whole body an hour or three of rhythm it can finally trust".

People book with me when they feel wound tight, run down, flattened by a busy season, or simply far away from themselves. If that is the kind of care you are after, you are in exactly the right corner of the coast for it.

Sessions, gently explained

Everything happens in one quiet space, a couple of hundred metres from the sand: KaHuna bodywork, intuitive healing massage, energy healing and sound healing, from a one-hour reset through to the full three-hour Multidimensional Healing. Sessions are one-on-one and fully draped, pressure always stays within what feels good to you, and we talk before we begin so the session is shaped around what your body actually needs that day.

If it is your first time on a KaHuna table, I have written exactly what to expect from a first session — including the questions everyone wonders about and nobody loves asking.

Making an afternoon of it

One of the quiet joys of living at this end of the coast is that slowness is right there when you want it. Swim at Tugun beach early, coffee in the village, book your session for the early afternoon when your body is warm and willing — and afterwards, do as little as you can get away with. The work keeps unfolding for hours; a slow walk home along the beach is the perfect way to let it.

Coming to the table

If you have been meaning to do something kind for your body all year, consider this the sign you were waiting for. Book a time whenever you are ready — from Tugun, you could honestly walk here before you talk yourself out of it.

Sending so much love,

Bryony 💗
